The American Cornhole Organization hosted its Spooky Nook Pro Series Skins Major this past weekend at Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill in Hamilton, Ohio, marking the first time in the organization's 22-season history that ten ACO Kings, or world cornhole champions, competed under one roof. Among the field were a father and son from Kentucky who together hold 10 world championships, adding historic weight to a two-day event that drew top competitors from across the country.
The gathering of current and former world cornhole champions represented a milestone for the sport. The ACO Kings: Matt Guy, Bret Guy, Jeff Reynolds, Jamie Graham, Ryan Windsor, Craig Ervin, Jeremiah Ellis, Isaac Hurt, Sebastian Barger, and Cannon Hatcher, competed alongside athletes in every major division, including Juniors, Womens, Seniors, Co-Ed, Doubles, and Singles. The centerpiece of the weekend was a Pro Series Skins bracket of 16, carrying a 5,000 dollar purse, in which the top Pro qualifiers faced one another through a series of frame-limited matches where every skin carried a cash value.
Spectators attended free of charge, and the public had the opportunity to enter open blind-draw tournaments throughout the weekend. The format reflected the organization's approach of blending elite competition with accessible participation, allowing newcomers to share the venue with established champions.
Michael "Fin" Walter, the broadcast host for the American Cornhole Organization, described the significance of the assembled field during event coverage. "Having ten ACO Kings in the same building at the same time has never happened in 22 seasons," Walter said. "When a father and son who own 10 world titles between them step up to the boards, the room understands it is watching something that may not come around again for a long time."
Walter also pointed to the energy among those following the event remotely. "The atmosphere carried well beyond the venue, with fans tuning in through ACO | AmericanCornhole 24/7 to follow every frame of the Skins bracket as it unfolded," he said.
The Spooky Nook event is one of more than 40 ACO Majors held nationwide, each contributing points toward the Season 22 ACO World Championships scheduled for July 2027 in Medford, Oregon. Members can review live placements through the organization's world standings, which track top players in every division across the season.
The organization continues to expand its digital presence for members and supporters. Platforms such as ACOTouch | ACO Community Connection provide registered participants with a central point to engage with the broader cornhole community, while video coverage and event recaps extend the reach of each Major to audiences unable to attend in person.
