Longhorn Reels, a Texas-based custom metal fabrication company, has introduced the Stow & Go Spool Transport System, a new solution engineered to move reels and spools across jobsites and warehouses. The release expands the company's line of material handling equipment for the wire, cable, and industrial sectors.

The Stow & Go was designed to address the practical challenges of relocating heavy reels within a facility or between job sites. Built with integrated forklift pockets, the system allows crews to load and unload materials without manual lifting, supporting a steadier workflow on active sites. The base model, designated LHR570, carries a rated capacity of 5,000 pounds and can be configured with paralleling reels and single-section reels in a range of dimensions. Custom reel sizes are also available for operations with specific requirements.

Constructed from high-quality materials, the wire spool cart is intended to withstand repeated use in demanding environments. Its compact footprint allows for efficient storage when the unit is not in transit, and its versatility makes it suitable for wire handling, cable management, and related applications. The design reflects the company's focus on durable, application-specific equipment for electrical contractors, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities.

"The Stow & Go grew out of feedback from crews who spend a large part of their day moving reels from one point to another," said Yan, speaking for Longhorn Reels. "The goal was a straightforward, forklift-ready system that protects the materials being transported while reducing the manual handling that slows a job down."

The new system arrives as Longhorn Reels expands its rack fabrication work into emerging markets, including AI data centers and chip manufacturing facilities. The company builds custom fabricated rack systems using precision laser-cut parts and certified welding, alongside compartment reels and stands, reel systems for wire, cable, and hose, and PVC storage racks. This broader scope positions the company to serve infrastructure projects that require tailored storage and handling equipment.

"Data center and chip manufacturing projects demand precision and repeatability," said Yan. "The same fabrication standards used to build the Stow & Go and our rack systems carry across every project the engineering team takes on, whether the customer needs a stock configuration or a fully custom design."

Longhorn Reels manufactures all of its products in the United States at facilities in Texas. The Stow & Go Spool Transport System is part of a product catalog that includes light fixture carts, PVC storage racks, job boxes, wire pull boxes, coiler and take-up systems, turn tables, roller platforms, mobile reel systems, and rack systems. The company also provides custom manufacturing for customers whose needs fall outside standard configurations.

Longhorn Reels, a division of GO Industries, brings more than 46 years of manufacturing experience to the wire and cable handling industry. The company employs approximately 70 staff members across two Texas plants and uses modern fabricating equipment to maintain consistency and quality. Its engineering team provides design services for material storage and handling, and all products are made in the USA and built for long-term reliable service.
